Tomorrow night - TUESDAY, MARCH 19You are invited to attend our upcoming concert featuring the Erie County Wind Ensemble! This is a special event celebrating their 40th anniversary. It is an honor for Starpoint to be their host! The ECWE was originally founded as the “Erie County Music Educators Wind Ensemble” in 1983. The ensemble has evolved into a mixed group of fine musicians of various occupational backgrounds from the WNY area. Described as a “virtuosic and resilient group”, the ECWE’s objective is to perform the best wind band literature at an exemplary level to a wide range of audiences, with a special outreach to school musicians. The concert will kickoff with performances by the Starpoint HS Concert Band and HS Wind Ensemble. The bulk of the program will be performed by the ECWE, followed by a side-by-side grand finale with HS Wind Ensemble students. The program is full of beautiful and powerful wind band music. Expect an electrifying performance that will inspire our students! See less

Congratulations to Kendal Linton, Sage Pohl, Avery Russell, Jaimie Fraass, and Miriam Bloomer for being selected to be a part of the Buffalo State College High School Art invitational. Buffalo State’s Art department put on a phenomenal exhibit showcasing the top 5 works from local school districts. Starpoint is honored to announce that Kendal Linton also won a special recognition award! Congratulations to all! Kendal Linton won an award at the Buffalo State Art invitational!

There is always a lot going on in the RIS LMC during 21st-century skills and Technology! a couple weeks ago students in grades 3 and 5 applied coding skills using various robotic devices including, Ozobots and Edisons. Fourth grade students learned about circuitry with IlttleBits and how to create code to control a circuit. Starpoint's Meg Milleville was nominated for the National Play of the Week along with 9 other plays. We are down about 5,000 votes as of this morning.
