Natalie Prosser, Braelyn Szpilewski and Carter Maier were finalists for Best Performance by an Actor/Actress and performed in the opening number as finalists for The Jimmy Awards. They participated in a week-long intensive STAGE program, which is a selective conservatory-style deep dive into singing, acting, dancing, and storytelling. Additionally, Joey Misztal was recognized as part of the "All Star Cast" for this year's show. The cast performed a 5 minute medley on stage at Shea's that evening. We took home two "Wonder Awards" including Outstanding Execution by a Crew (for the number, "Let it Go") and the Showstopper Award for the song, "End this Winter/Monster". We are so incredibly proud of our talented performers and students, but most of all of their character that was represented as they celebrated the success of peers from other schools.
Attached are some photos and backstage video footage of their performance! As always, thank you to the Starpoint community for your continuous support of this program and the arts!
Sincerely,
The Directing Team

Congratulations to our Varsity Softball team on being crowned Section VI Class A1 champions by beating Grand Island 6-2. They will play for the overall Class A championship on Saturday at 1:30pm at Grand Island HS.

Yesterday, May 11, the boys golf team competed in the section VI team championship event at Shelridge CC and finished 2nd out of 4 teams falling short to Fredonia. Nevertheless, an outstanding showing from our Spartan golfers represented by Sam Prezioso, Braeden Lee, Hunter Leuer, Luke Cyrek and Dylan Cyrek.
Individually, sophomore Braeden Lee became the first Starpoint golfer to win the State qualifying event with a 27 hole aggregate score of 110, winning by 3 shots. Braeden shot an even par 72 followed by a 38 to secure the win. Congrats to Braeden on an outstanding tournament! Next up the NYS tournament held at Mill Creek on June 7-8.
