7th Annual Fall NOCA Fair

Hello everyone,

We are so excited to start junior year!! As we enter the second half of your child's high school career, we are looking forward to so many fun activities. To kick off our fundraising efforts this year we are hosting the annual mum sale. We would love your support!  This is our 7th year doing this fundraiser and the plants are always beautiful. Below is a digital order form you can use to order the mums.  Your child will also be coming home with a paper order form if you prefer to fill that out. Either way will be fine.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdYFdbUiD0IiSIeMHkbCiB5nfmP-ezBUq5Zt94e7hh2cJ7ViA/viewform?usp=sf_link

Orders and money are due by September 15th. Cash or check (made out to Starpoint Class of 2028) is fine. If you'd like venmo information please email myself or Andrea Rodenhaus directly.

All mums are 9 inch pots and will cost $12. You can request colors but they can not be guaranteed. We'll try our best!! Day of delivery is Monday, September 21 and mums can be picked up between 2 and 5 in front of the Fine Arts Lobby. If you are in another building we can have our officers deliver to you. Thank you so much for your support of the junior class!!

We've also attached the paper copy of the order form if you prefer to fill that out and interoffice to me. Thanks!!

As a side note, if you received this message multiple times we are sorry. We sent it to all emails in the parent portal for each child and we realize it may have reached some of you more than once.

At the end of each school year, every teacher in the Starpoint Art Department chooses one of their students' artwork that they believe is the most extraordinary piece to be framed and displayed in the district hallway. This year, the following students were chosen:

REGAN INTERMEDIATE:
Eva Darmograi
MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Kate English & Victoria Blanton
HIGH SCHOOL

Where is my child supposed to go on Tuesday, June 9th, and Wednesday, June 10th?
Simple:
If your child is scheduled to take an exam on either of these days mentioned here, then your child MUST come to school and take the exam in the designated room assignment.
If your child is NOT scheduled to take an exam, then there are some decisions to make.
1. Your child can come to school and attend one of the many review sessions offered by their teachers across all subjects
2. Your child should come to school to complete necessary science investigations (translation: mandatory science labs)
3. Your child can come to school to finish Art or Tech assignments and
4. On Wednesday, your child should come to school to complete any missing P.E. classes
If your child feels confident in all of the above, then it is NOT required that your child attend school on Tuesday, June 9th, or Wednesday, June 10th.

Starpoint High School Recognizes Student of the Month Honorees

On June 4, 2026, Starpoint High School was proud to recognize twenty outstanding students who were as Student of the Month recipients. This distinguished honor celebrates students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, positive character, leadership, and meaningful contributions to both the school and the Starpoint community.

Selection as a Student of the Month recipient represents far more than strong grades. These students have consistently exemplified dedication, responsibility, and a commitment to excellence throughout their high school careers. Their achievements reflect years of hard work, perseverance, and involvement in activities that have positively impacted their classmates, school, and community.

For these students, the recognition serves as a culmination of their efforts through the completion of their junior year. Chosen from a highly accomplished class, only twenty students earned this distinction, making it one of the highest student recognitions awarded at Starpoint High School.

The Student of the Month program highlights individuals who embody the values of academic success, citizenship, leadership, and service. Each recipient has demonstrated a commitment to personal growth while contributing to a positive school culture and strengthening connections within the broader Starpoint community.

Starpoint High School congratulates these exceptional students on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to their continued success during their senior year and beyond.

Celebrating Our Leaders of Tomorrow!

The Civic Readiness Awards Wednesday, June 10th at 6:00 P.M. in the High School Auditorium

What is the Seal of Civic Readiness?

The Seal of Civic Readiness is a prestigious distinction awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated exceptional civic knowledge, skills, and a commitment to active citizenship. To earn this seal on their diplomas, these students went above and beyond standard graduation requirements—diving into advanced political and historical research, participating in meaningful community service, and launching hands-on projects to solve real-world problems in our neighborhoods.

Why We Are Celebrating?

This isn't just an academic award; it is a celebration of character, leadership, and action. The students receiving this honor have proven to future colleges and employers that they possess the critical thinking, empathy, and drive needed to make a positive difference in a diverse democratic society. They haven't just studied history—they are actively shaping it.
Join us on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:00 P.M. in the High School Auditoirum, as we honor their hard work, their dedication to community, and their official designation as civically ready leaders!

We wanted to send a congratulations to the Starpoint High School Musical Club cast, crew and orchestra of Disney's Frozen for their outstanding performance at Shea's Performing Arts Center on May 16th at The Wonder Awards ceremony.

Natalie Prosser, Braelyn Szpilewski and Carter Maier were finalists for Best Performance by an Actor/Actress and performed in the opening number as finalists for The Jimmy Awards. They participated in a week-long intensive STAGE program, which is a selective conservatory-style deep dive into singing, acting, dancing, and storytelling. Additionally, Joey Misztal was recognized as part of the "All Star Cast" for this year's show. The cast performed a 5 minute medley on stage at Shea's that evening. We took home two "Wonder Awards" including Outstanding Execution by a Crew (for the number, "Let it Go") and the Showstopper Award for the song, "End this Winter/Monster". We are so incredibly proud of our talented performers and students, but most of all of their character that was represented as they celebrated the success of peers from other schools.

Attached are some photos and backstage video footage of their performance! As always, thank you to the Starpoint community for your continuous support of this program and the arts!

Sincerely,
The Directing Team
