As we begin our Thanksgiving break, we want to share how thankful we are for our Fricano students, families, staff, and community members. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone! We will see students back on December 2nd!

Another #OneStarpoint fun activity! Mrs. Warchocki's students connected with Mrs. Mills' high school students and read books, completed a turkey crafts and did the turkey wobble!

We had a great #OneStarpoint day at the Turkey Trot!

Some of our first grade classes had a balloon parade after reading Balloons over Broadway ( about the Thanksgiving Parade). Thanks to the families who helped their first grader create a balloon!🎈

Mrs. Flores' kindergarteners worked on identifying 2D and 2D shapes today in math. They explored, played a game, and completed work independently. Way to go mathematicians!

Miss Butera's kindergarteners had a pizza party yesterday! They worked on both phonics skills and math skills in a fun way. Students sorted pizza toppings by matching sounds to letters, practiced encoding CVC words, and used their math knowledge to count topping shapes. Some even enjoyed a pizza treat for lunch!🍕

Mrs. Mahoney's second graders worked on the /er/ sound today made with er, w+or, ur, and ir. They wrote and read words with these patterns and even reviewed words with patterns they've already learned. Great job students!

These Kindergarteners read a book about friendship and connected it to the kind actions they can do in their classroom to be good friends. Above all else, we are kind to each other at Fricano!♥️🩶

Fricano is rooting for the Bills on Sunday! 💙❤️

These students worked hard to decode and encode words with sh today in UFLI. Great job first graders !

We had a wonderful PBIS assembly today where Benny and our Bees helped Fricano students learn about personal space. Our 5th safety patrols even came down to be on stage in the assembly! Listen to the boundary song with your child: https://youtu.be/aSFvJbSQdA4

These kindergarteners are working hard on the concept of "one less" in math.
