Good afternoon!

I would like to provide you with an update regarding the start of winter sports. Last week Section VI voted and approved delaying the start of low/moderate risk sports from 11/30/20 to 12/14/20. Therefore, Boys and Girls Indoor Track, Boys and Girls Bowling, Boys Swimming and Modified Boys/Girls Swimming will not begin practice until Monday, 12/14/20. The targeted start date for Boys and Girls Basketball, Competitive Cheerleading, Boys and Girls Ice Hockey and Wrestling remains Monday, 1/4/21. I will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

As a reminder, you must have your child(ren) registered through FamilyID, along with having all of the necessary health forms submitted to the nurse's office prior to the start of practices. Your child(ren) will not be able to tryout without both of these requirements being met.

Please contact my office with any questions. Thank you and have a great day!

    Good afternoon!

Please click here for important information regarding Winter Sports Registration. Winter sports are set to begin on 11/30/20 for low-risk sports (varsity bowling, varsity indoor track, boys varsity swimming/modified swimming).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Hello OneStarpoint Families!

I have some great news! Section VI has approved school districts to begin fall sports on 9/21/20 for the following sports:

Varsity Sports: Boys and Girls Cross Country, Golf, Girls Swimming, Girls Tennis

JV/Varsity Sports: Boys and Girls Soccer, Field Hockey

Modified Sports: Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys and Girls Soccer, Field Hockey

Because we are starting up soon, we are going to need paperwork turned in quickly. I do apologize for this minor inconvenience.

If submitting a new physical, parents need to complete the Sport Candidate Questionnaire and submit that along with the new physical to the nurse's offices. We are not conducting sports physicals at school due to COVID-19.

An Interval Health History update must be completed by the parent if your child's current physical and Sports Candidate Questionnaire is over 30 days old prior to the start of the season. The Interval Health History form is not necessary if the Sports Candidate Questionnaire is current (within 30 days of start date).

In addition, if your child needs an inhaler or epi-pen, parents must complete the medication consent form each school year.

All new physical paperwork must be turned in to either the Athletic Office or the nurse’s offices by September 18th. Additionally, paperwork can be faxed to the high school nurse's office at (716) 210-2361, the middle school nurse's office at (716) 210-2231 or by emailing Jane Wilson at jwilson@starpointcsd.org.

No student will be able to try-out without all of the proper paperwork being completed and submitted to school.

All of these forms can be found on our website at https://www.starpointcsd.org/domain/81.  (Sports Physical tab)

Please continue to check our website, as we will be posting additional tryout information next week. Additionally, we will be making announcements in school so make sure your son/daughter are listening for them.

We are very excited to start the fall season and look forward to having our athletes back on campus.

Please contact our office at (716) 210-2307 with any questions.

Below is a link for Fall Sports Sign-ups. Please click on the link and fill out the Google Form. This process is to indicate your child's interest in trying out for a fall sport and does not take the place of our traditional registration process that will still be required.

Please contact the Starpoint Athletic Office with any questions.

Thank you and have a great day!
