CTLE Requirements

  • Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE)


    • If you have a professional certificate (anyone certified as an administrator or teacher after February 1st of 2004) or a Level III Teaching Certificate, you are now required to obtain 100 hours of CTLE approved professional development in 5 years.   


    • As a district, we need to provide certificates to all participants verifying that they were in attendance at the workshop.  


    • If you have a professional certificate (anyone certified as an administrator or teacher after February 1st of 2004) or a Level III Teaching Certificate, YOU are responsible for maintaining your certificates and keeping track to meet the 100 hour requirement.  The certificates are available in My Learning Plan (MLP). Contact Deb Maybach at *2350 for directions. At the end of 5 years, the stae will notify uou to verify your completion of 100 hours. If you are audited, the state will request the certificates from you to verify that you have completed the hours. 


    • If you complete and input "miscellaneous" professional development hours into MLP under "Fill in Forms." The Instruction Office will send you a CTLE Form.
