School Volunteers

  • Volunteers are persons who are willing to donate their time and energies to assist principals, teachers, and other school personnel implementing various phases of school programs. Volunteers shall serve in that capacity without compensation or employee benefits except for liability protection under the District's insurance program.
     
    Volunteer applications can be submitted directly to the Principal of the building(s) in which you would like to volunteer by filling in the attached form. The building Principal will review the application and retains the right to approve or deny any volunteer applications submitted for consideration.
     
    A school volunteer is defined as a non-paid person who assists District staff, including but not limited to instructional personnel, for curricular, co-curricular, or extracurricular programs.  A volunteer is a person who offers to provide assistance or service of his/her own free will without legal obligation.
