    Niagara Orleans Counselors Association Scholarships are now available in Student Services and are due to Mrs. Brogan by March 20.  Scholarships are: Merit (3-$1,000), Phoenix (for a senior who has "risen up" in some way during high school $1,000, attending Niagara University (2-$1,500 per year for 4 years) GCC ($500) NCCC ($1,000)  Bryant & Stratton ($1,000) and Career Technical Education Scholarship ($1,000) for a senior who has completed a two year BOCES program.     Allentown Art Festival Visual Arts Scholarship of $1,000 for Seniors.   Application in Student Services has a deadline of March 23, 2019. (3/23)

    The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising National Scholarship Competition is available for the following majors:  fashion design, interior design, merchandise & marketing, social media, visual communications and graphic design. Visit their website for entry details ...deadline is March 29, 2019.  (3/29)
    The Kenan Arts Council Scholarship for $1,000 is for a senior who plans to attend college and major in art, dance, design, music, or theater.  Applicants must have a high school average of at least 80.  Application in Student Services or www.kenancenter.org and must be postmarked by March 29, 2019.     The WNY Nurses Memorial Scholarship is  for seniors who will be attending an accredited BS school of nursing (not ECC, NCCC or Trocaire).  Application in Student Services must be postmarked by April 1, 2019. (4/1)

    Niagara County Assessors Association Scholarship of $1,000.   Applications in Student Services must be postmarked by April 1, 2019. (4/1)

    ISA - Niagara Frontier Educational Scholarships for Seniors who plan to enter fields of Engineering and Technology.   Application in Student Services is due April 1, 2019.  (4/1)

    The Matthew R. Row Foundation will give out FOUR scholarships this year (each in the amount of $2,500) to high school Seniors in WNY who have lost a parent/guardian.   Application in Student Services must be postmarked by April 1, 2019. (4/1)

    New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal is offering 3 scholarships for seniors:  The Bambino Scholarship for a special education student who will be attending college, The Jensen Scholarship for a student who has excelled in design during high school, and the Goncalves Scholarship for a student who demonstrates an involvement for a cause or organization that promotes social justice, equal opportunity, relief of human suffering or other aspiration within the meaning of humanitarian activity.  Applications are in Student Services or www.nysir.org with a deadline of on or before April 8, 2019.     The Niagara County Sheriff's Office Victim Assisstance $250 scholarship is for students to write an essay about how they or someone close to them has been impacted by a crime.   Application in Student Services is due April 12, 2019 (4/12)

    WNY Safari Club Inter-nation will be awarding a $1,500 scholarship to a Senior who demonstrates a high level of interest in the environment and outdoor activities and, is planning a course of study in conservation or wildlife enforcement.  Application in Student Services. Deadline is April 15. (4/15)

    Lockport Elks Lodge #41 has two Scholarship opportunities for you.  The Law/Enforcement Scholarship application is now available in Student Services for Seniors pursuing a degree in all aspects of Law and Law Enforcement.  The Rodney Conrad Sr. Memorial Scholarship is for Seniors pursuing a 4-year degree program in Education, Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Business, Accounting or Mathematics.     Town of Lockport Outstanding Youth $1,000 Scholarship application is now in Student Services for all Seniors living in the Town of Lockport.   Deadline is April 26, 2019. (4/26)

    “B. Davis Scholarship” - Please visit their website at http://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm to read about them and to apply for our scholarship.  The deadline for applications is May 24, 2019.  Amount of Scholarship:  $1,000.  (5/24/19)

    The Engineering Society of Buffalo, Inc. is now accepting applications for the 2019 Engineering Scholarships. Each year they select four recipients for cash awards of $2400 each.  The scholarship requirements for seniors pursuing an Engineering degree as well as the  application are located in Student Services and the deadline for the scholarship is June 1, 2019.  (6/1)

    HS Students:  I am happy to announce that again this year, members of the NMSS (National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be here on Friday, March 22 from 2:30 to 3:10 pm (10th period), to speak with our students and staff about Walk MS 2019 and Multiple Sclerosis.   If you are interested in attending on March 22 please stop into the LMC to sign the sheet at the front desk by the end of the day today!     The Starpoint Teachers Association will be selecting a number of graduating seniors to receive a cash award from this organization. Awards will be based on evidence of strong academic achievement, leadership ability, community service, positive character traits, and a commitment to continuing education. Applications are available from Mr. Slote in N6, and are due no later than Friday, April 5 (3/22)

    All members of Foreign Language Club-Our Chiavetta's Chicken Dinner sale is now underway.  If you were unable to attend our meeting last week and did not pick up your tickets, please see Mrs. Staskiewicz in room N14 this week as soon as possible to get your dinner tickets.  If any members need more tickets, or to return any UNSOLD tickets, stop by N14, as well.      From Girls Basketball--Riley Schepis--22 points in the playoff vs. Cheektowaga  (five 3 pointers) and 12 points in the playoff vs Lake Shore.

    Also from Girls Basketball--Hayley Held--18 points in the final league game vs. West Seneca East and 8 points in the playoff vs Lake Shore.
