Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Linda Daniel
Born and raised in Western New York, I attended Canisius College and La universidad de Oviedo, in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain.
I began my teaching career in 1998 at the Diocese of Buffalo and then at Starpoint in 2001.
My main hobby is to travel. I love seeing the world, meeting new people, trying new foods and learning about culture. I had the privilege of living in Spain in 1995 and Colombia in 2010. I have traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Portugal, Ireland, Jamaica, Italy, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and countless places in North America. My bucket list includes a safari to see wild elephants in Africa and to snorkel in Belize with my husband, Lonnie.
I have a son Andrés, whom I adopted in 2010 at age 12 from Colombia, South America. He’s an adult now living on his own in New York! I also have a step daughter who lives in sunny Florida.
My favorite "thing" about teaching is opening the doors of culture to students. There are so many interesting rituals, diversions, values and practices within the world. I hope to foster an appreciation for culture in each and every one of my students.
