Mrs. Preisch - School Counselor

  • Welcome to my Website!

As your child's school counselor, I will work to maximize student success academically, socially, and personally.  I provide support and work with parents and staff to ensure that all students are meeting their academic goals.  I work with students who may be struggling with personal or social matters and provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborate with outside service providers in order to provide the best educational environment for every student.

     My students...

Currently I am assigned to service all students in 6th grade, and will continue to work with them until they leave our middle school to become high school students.  I am looking so very forward to watching your children grow and mature, becoming the leaders of our school.

Welcome to the Second Quarter - this year is flying by!

Some of you may have noticed a change in your schedule for the second quarter.  There may be an additional class for math or ELA.  These classes are there to help you - they are not a bad thing! We want to always make sure we are offering the most support we can to help you succeed.  Know that I am here to help in any way that I can.  If you would like to get in touch with me, please feel free to email me at KPreisch@Starpointcsd.org or call me at: 210-2221 (my office hours are Monday and Tuesday 7:30 - 3:15, and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:30 - 2:35).

    A Little About Me...

This is my 19th year as a school counselor in the Starpoint School District.  At Canisius College, I majored in Psychology and minored in Crminal Justice.  I received my Master's Degree in Education from Niagara University.  I have 2 children - my daughter is a freshman at Westminster College, and my son is in 7th grade at Starpoint.  My husband is retired!  We have 3 cats (Ally, Topper, and Leo) and 2 dogs (Bella and Nora) as well as a newt named Bo.  I love soccer and hockey, Taco Tuesday is my favorite day ever, and coffee gets me through most days.
