School Lunch Program

  • Welcome to the Starpoint Central School District School Lunch Information Page

    The Starpoint Central School District is proud to announce the implementation of an on-line payment system for the school lunch program.  You will now be able to electronically add funds to your child's lunch account eliminating the need to send in money with your child.  You will also be able to set up reminders and automatic payments for all your children.

    Enrollment is easy!

    1.  Go to www.mySchoolBucks.com and register for a free account. A confirmation email will be sent to the address you provide; click on link included in the email to activate your account.

    2.  Activate your account and begin adding your students. You will need their school name and student ID which will be mailed to you in late August 2014.

    3.  Add funds* to your students’ accounts with your Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, debit card, or electronic check.

    *A convenience fee of $1.95 will apply to each payment that you make.  If you have multiple children within the District, and you set up one payment that is split among your children, you will only be charged $1.95.  You will have the opportunity to review any fees (and cancel if you choose) before you are charged.  Money deposited into mySchoolBucks® generally appears in your childs account within 12-24 hours.

    PLEASE NOTE:  As of December 11, 2017, Heartland School Solutions will be raising their convenience fee to $2.49 per payment.  This is the first time that the convenience fee has been increased in sixteen years.  If you have any questions on the increased fee, please contact Heartland Solutions at 1-855-832-5226 or support@myschoolbucks.com.

     

    Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications:

    Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families who believe they may qualify. If your family chooses to apply,  please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price School Meals Application" that can be found at the link on the bottom of this page. Once the application is completed, please return the application to your child's building's main office. You will be notified by mail of your child's status. Until notification, you must provide your child with a lunch or lunch money. 

    Please review the Income Eligibility Chart located in the "Parent Letter" link at the bottom of this page to determine if you are eligible for free or reduced price meals..

    Please only complete one application per family. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits. 

    Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered all persons, related or unrelated: Including parents, children, grandparents who live in your home and share living expenses. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes - this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income. 

    Foster children are categorically eligible for free meal benefits. An application is not needed yet there does need to be documentation of status by a state or local entity familiar with the child's status. Foster children may be included in the household application as part of the household size.
