Mrs. Neilans t has been working in the Starpoint Central School District since 2013. She completed her full-time internship within the district during the 2013-2014 school year. She was brought on as the second Middle School Psychologist for the 2014-2015 school year. Mrs. Neilans recently moved down to Fricano Primary School where she spends most of her time with students helping them make new friends and learn new social skills. She looks forward to working with all of the students, parents, and staff within in Fricanol as the year progresses!
Mrs. Neialns received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Psychology and School Psychology from Canisius College in 2011. During this time, she worked as a Research Assistant with Canisius College's Institute for Autism Research implementing social skills curriculum to students with High Functioning Autism. Mrs. Neilans obtained a Master of Science degree as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Psychology from Niagara University in 2014. In 2013, Mrs. Neilans was awarded the New York State Association of School Psychologists Ted Bernstein Award for exemplifying excellence in the Niagara University School Psychology program.
