RUNNING FOR A SEAT ON THE SCHOOL BOARD
Have you ever considered running for the school board? A school board member takes on one of the most important citizen responsibilities: overseeing the education of the community's youth. Local school boards are always seeking men and women who find excitement and satisfaction in confronting tough challenges and working collegially to rise above them and help students in their communities succeed.
The Starpoint Board of Education is comprised of nine members who must be Starpoint School District residents. In addition, the public votes on the upcoming school year's budget. Board member elections and the budget vote takes place annually on the 3rd Tuesday in May.
