Running for a Seat on the School Board

  • RUNNING FOR A SEAT ON THE SCHOOL BOARD
     
     
    The Starpoint Board of Education is comprised of nine members who are school district residents.  Nominating petitions to run for a seat on the Starpoint Board of Education are now available.  Please contact the District Clerk, Mrs. Dorothy Szpaicher, at dszpaicher@starpointcsd.org or by calling 716-210-2352 to get the necessary documents to run for a seat on the Starpoint Board of Education.  The informational material and required documents are available by clicking on the related documents below.
     
    Election for school board seats will take place on the Tuesday, May 15, 2018.  This is also the time when the public votes on the upcoming school year's budget. 
     
    For the 2018-19 school year, there will be  a total of three board seats up for election.  Each seat has a 3-year term attached to it.  
     
    There are various procedures surrounding the process for running for a seat on the Starpoint School Board.  If you are interested in running for a school board seat please read all of the attached information below.  Please call the Office of the Superintendent at 210-2352 to request a nomination packet be mailed to your home or stop by the office between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to pick up the informational packet.
