NYS Water Testing
-
Dear Staff & Parents of the Starpoint Central School District,
As you may be aware, the New York State Department of Health requires that public schools sample for lead within their buildings' drinking water testing the potable water for lead contamination and to develop and implement a lead remediation plan, where applicable.
In accordance with this law and regulation, water testing for all school buildings: Fricano Primary School, Regan Intermediate School, Starpoint Middle School and Starpoint High School was completed prior to December 1, 2020 in compliance with NYS requirements. All outlets that required remediation have been addressed and were re-tested over the winter break.
We take the health and safety of students, staff and visitors very seriously and are committed to ensuring the water at all of the District’s buildings is safe.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Director of Facilities and Operations, David Ciurczak Jr. at (716) 210-2345 or dciurczak@starpointcsd.org.
