    • Congratulations to the girls on their hard fought 3-2 victory over LIDA.  Maddie Jagow had two assists, and Natalee Lawrence had two goals.  Paige Spatorico played stellar defense as did Faith O’Connor, Olivia Terranova, and Marina Mansfield.  The girls move to 11 and 4 on the season and can earn the #2 seed in a revenge game tonight against HEWS.

    • On Saturday the girls basketball team defeated Will South 37 - 32. Scoring 8 points for the lady spartans was Maria Kwasniak. Maria was also a power house defensively throughout the game. Baylee Budz contributed 12 points and was certainly not afraid of driving to the basket. Also scoring points for the lady Spartans was Gianna Abramo, Rowan Hill, Olivia Schmidt, Emily Sole, and Kennedy Szpilewski. Great job girls! 
    • Congratulations to our Varsity wrestlers on their state championship over the weekend!

    • Congratulations to the girls on their 4-1 victory over CASH on Senior Night.  Madison Mallone had a goal and an assist.  Natalee Lawrence had two assists. Maddie Jagow had a goal and Marina Mansfield picked up another assist on D.  The girls improved to 10-4 in league play and 11-5 overall.

Earning wins for Starpoint included Anthony Smith, George Peehler, Mason Bugyi, Jaemison Depew, Julian Quiros, Gannon Andrews, Richard Finicki, and Zachary Terranova. They will head to orchard park on Monday and hopefully keep the winning streak going.

    • The Starpoint Middle School Technology Club brought 18 students to Niagara Community College's 2023 Tech Wars competition. Students competed in various challenges including Mousetrap Cars, CO2 Cars, Bridges, On-Site Engineering and T-Shirt Design. Owen Kipp placed 2nd overall in Mousetrap Cars while Victoria Griffith and Peter McGrath placed 8th overall in bridge design. Additionally, Starpoint placed 2nd overall for all Middle Schools.Great job to everyone who participated.
    • Last night, the modified swim team did an awesome job against West Seneca East. The following swimmers placed first in their heat: Sophia Zgoda in 200 freestyle, MacKenzie Yerdon in 50 butterfly, Nathan Synor in 50 freestyle, Kaci Smith in 100 freestyle, Madison Gray 50 backstroke and James Kwasniak in the 50 breaststroke. Congratulations to the entire team! Reminder to all swimmers, today is picture day.

Joe Tacca did best times in both the 200 and 500 Free. Sam Wichart did his best time in the 200 Free. Great job boys!

    • The JV girls basketball team beat Iroquois last night, 46-29. Gabby Schmidt and Tori Kowalewski both played well and contributed on both sides of the ball. Gabby added an important basket to extend the lead in the 2nd quarter.
    • Last night the modified girls basketball team improved their record to 3 and 1. The girls traveled to Amherst and defeated the tigers 39 to 19. Scoring 13 points for the Lady Spartans was 8th grader Baylee Budz. Kennedy Szpilewski contributed 9 points for the team.     • Happy New Year!  The first drawing of 2023 will be for a signed Sabres hockey puck.
    • Attention talent show cast and crew!  Please check your Google Classroom immediately for a new assignment and post.  Also, please check and see if you are on the rehearsal schedule for this week.  There are many cast members rehearsing this week.

    • The Boys swim team lost to Williamsville East on Friday 109-61 dropping their record to 4-3. Despite the loss, the boys swam a total of 32 times. Grant Benedict had three personal best times, while Joe Tacca and Sam Wichart  each had two best times. Colin Cambell and Noah LaRock finished with one personal best time each.  Our next meet is at home against Amherst tomorrow at 5:30. Great job guys!

    • Over the break, the JV girls basketball team beat Ken West 62-17. Tori and Gabby both played incredible defense, and contributed to the win.-
    • The Boys Swim Team defeated Williamsville South last night 103-65 to improve to 4-2 on the season. Grant Benedict, Joe Tacca and Sam Wichart scored points to help secure the win. Great job boys!
