    • The modified girls soccer team finished off their season Friday with a 7-2 win against Sweet Home. They finished the season with an 8-3 record. Olivia S led the team with 3 goals and two assists. Maddie G. had 3 goals and 1 assist. Ava Barnett also scored a goal. Lily W gabby Schmidt and Addie Topick all added an assist. Emily Sole played outstanding goaltending for the second half of the game.

    • Your Modified Football team played their most complete game of the season yesterday by defeating West Seneca East on the road by a very convincing score of 34-0. Led by team captains David Chase, Victor Collins, Kyle Kuhns and Max Butcher, the Spartans took an early lead and never looked back. Starpoint finished the year with an overall 3-4 record, remained undefeated at home and ended the season on a 2 game win streak. This was an amazing job! Accomplished by a great group of young men. The entire coaching staff is very proud of each and every one of you! Hail Starpoint!!!!

    • The Modified Boys soccer team visited  Sweet Home on Saturday and came out victorious 4-1. Hudson Styrzo, Douglas Dickey, Ben Leberman and Nolan O'Lay each had a goal. Steadfast  performances from TJ Martin and Nathan Milleville in the midfield as well as solid defensive performances from Ben Spinks and Noah Anthony.  The win puts the team at 6-2 & next, they travel to Williamsville today to close out their season.

    • Your Modified football team remained undefeated at home this season with a very convincing 24-12 win against a strong Iroquois team.  The Spartans 2nd win of the year came on the heels of Victor Collins who absolutely ran wild with the help of great blocking up front from the Starpoint offensive line. Collins scored every point for the Spartans and Chiefs simply could not bring him down. It was truly one for the highlight reels! Defensively, team captain Max Butcher was just one of the many difference makers that helped to shut down the attack of Iroquois. Great WIN team! Our final game of the season will be next Thursday on the road against West Seneca East.

    • The modified girls soccer team defeated Amherst last night 6-1. Olivia S led the team with 3 goals and 1 assist. Maddie G added a goal and 2 assists. Other goal scorers include Lily W and Gabby Schmidt. Emily Sole and Ava Barnett added two nice assists. Ellie, Ivy, Maggie and Tori had a great defensive game shutting down Amherst's offense for a near perfect game. 

    • The Modified Boys soccer team hosted Amherst yesterday and came out victorious 6-0. Hudson Styrzo led the front line with 3 goals, with TJ Marlin, Ben Leberman and Nolan O'Lay each adding one. Stellar performances from Carter Bratt and Douglas Dickey in the midfield as well as lockdown defensive performances from Will Hugill and Owen Kingston. The win puts the team at 5-2 & next travels to Sweethome on Saturday.

    • Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on another great win over Amherst. Brooklyn Belling, Lily Diegelman, and Anna Boje served great for the Spartans. Leah Petrozzi and Emmy Diffenderfer made some great plays. Great job girls.

    • Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their 2-0, 1st round sectional win over KenEast.  Nora Crissman played a wonderful game and played a huge role after her sister Grace suffered and unfortunate injury. The girls return to action Thursday at Niagara Wheatfield.

    • Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on another great win over Hamburg last night. Lily Stein, Maria R, Kayla Hess, and Morgan Gerard served outstanding for the Spartans. Rhiannon Rowcroft, Lily Wergen, and Evey Conners made some great defensive plays. Ava O’Callaghan and Kennedy Szpilewski scored some points with their great jump serves. Great job girls!

    • The JV girls soccer team secured their final league win last night shutting Amherst out 2-0. Offensive players Ashley Mainstone and Mya Dorgan were a dynamic duo up top each swapping a goal and an assist. Arianna Hamilton had the shut out in net once again. The lady Spartans played a fast-paced, aggressive game to finish at the top in league play. Our final non-league game of the season will be played against Wilson at home tonight at 5:00.

Abby Diffenderfer, Lily Wergen, and Ava O’Callaghan made some outstanding plays for the Spartans. Great job girls!!

    • The modified girls soccer team defeated Hamburg Wednesday 4-2. Maddie G. led the scoring with two goals and one assist. Emily Sole and Maggie C. each added a goal while Olivia Streicher, and Sophia Hart each had an assist. Our next game is home on Monday at 5 against Williamsville East. 

    • Your Modified Football team fell to 1-4 on the season after losing 13-0 to Hamburg on the road last night. The Spartan played exceptionally well and kept the game close right up until the end. Good job team! Our final home game of the season will be next week on Wed. 10/19 @ 5:00 against Iroquois. Come out and support your Modified Football team.

    • The Modified Boys soccer team hosted Hamburg yesterday and were unfortunate to lose 2-0. Stellar performances from Carter Bratt and Douglas D in the midfield as well as an excellent performance in defense from Logan Herbst. The loss puts the team at 4-2 & the team looks to bounce back on Monday 10/17 when they host Williamsville East.

    • Yesterday, the modified cross Country team traveled to Niagara Wheatfield to compete.  In the girl's 7th and 8th-grade race, Elizabeth Manta placed 1st overall out of 75 runners.  Ella Schulte, Savannah Wilcox, Samantha Preisch, and Mikayla Maloney all placed in the top 15. In the boy's 7th and 8th-grade race, Will English, Jameson Depew, and Peter McGrath placed in the top 20 out of 65 runners.  10 girls and 9 boys had season-best performances.  Keep up the amazing work!!!

    • The modified girls soccer team got their 4th win in a row against West Seneca on Wednesday beating them 6-0. Sophia Hart had a great game getting her second clean sheet in a row with the help from her awesome defense of Maggie C, Kate C, Tori K, and Ivy Kinyon.  Our goal scorer’s were Maddie G. with two goals followed by Ava Barnett, Gabby Schmidt, Olivia Streicher, and Ivy Kinyon with one goal each. Kate C, Addie Topick, and Emma Full each had a very nice assist while Emily Sole added 2 assists. Our next game is home this Friday at 5 against the tough Williamsville South. 

    • Yesterday, the Cross Country team traveled to Iroquois.  In the girl's 7th and 8th-grade race, Elizabeth Manta placed 1st out of 114 runners. Ella Schulte and Mikayla Maloney placed in the top 20. Samantha Preisch, Annie Thompson, and Mia Smith all had season-best performances. In the boy's 7th and 8th grade race; William English placed in the top 20 out of 98 runners.  Jameson Depew, Peter McGrath, Dylan Feeley, and Kyler Mugler had strong races. Good work team!

    • The boys modified volleyball team played a hard fought match against a good Grand Island middle team and won 4 sets to 1, awesome serving by Deklan Shea, Tyler Lamm and Andrew English. As always, 8th grade captain Grant Reid led the team with his hard work and determination.

    • In a fantastic game against Williamsville South, your lady Spartans field hockey team won one to nothing in a hard-fought battle. The single goal of the game was scored by Isabella Figliomeni with an assist by Sarah Mollosky. Great game girls!

    • On Senior Night this past Friday, the girls varsity soccer team scored an 8-0 victory over West Seneca East. Berk Messer and Mattie Adamo split the shutout. Senior defender Emily Milleville pitched in with a PK goal.  The Crissman sisters continued to sizzle, Bella Scott and Mia Giamberdino chipped in on the scoring.

    • Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their 4-1 win over Sweet Home.  Nora Crissman had an assist, Bella Scott had a goal and an assist. Mattie Adamo scored off a sweet effort from Madison Mallone.     • We will have our first Starmart drawing at the end of October. October's drawing will be for Middle School musical tickets. We will have 2 winners who will each receive 2 musical tickets.

    • Attention ALL students: Paws for Love will be making a visit this Thursday with therapy dog "Eich" (pronounced Ike). There will be visits for the following two Thursdays as well, so be sure to return your consent form to Mrs. Niziol in F-35 or your homeroom teacher to be able to participate! 

    • The LMC will be closed today periods 4, 5, 6, 7. Again, the LMC will be closed periods 4, 5, 6, 7.

    • WEB Leaders! Plan on meeting for lunch on Thursday in Mr. Scully's room!

    • Newspaper Committee for The Spartan Star will be having its first Meeting on Wednesday, Oct 5 -9th period in Room D-30.  See Mr. Vittoria or Mrs. Pierce with any questions.

    • The boys modified volleyball team won their match yesterday against West Seneca East Middle. They won 4 sets to 1, led by great serving by 8th graders Andrew English, Grant Benedict and Tyler Lamm.

    • Attention all Middle School JV & Varsity Fall athletes.  You should have received a permission slip in your homeroom this morning to attend the Pep Assembly in the High School on Friday October 7th.  Please return the permission slip to Mrs. Gorman in the Attendance office no later than Wednesday.  Please note-you need a signed permission slip in order to attend on Friday.  If you are a JV or Varsity Fall athlete and did not receive a slip, please come to the attendance office.
