    • Mrs. Zinni's and Mrs. Niziol's classes: Today is fREADom Friday, be sure to come to class with your choice reading novel.

    • Newspaper Committee for The Spartan Star will be having its first Meeting Wednesday, Oct 5 -9th period in Room D-30.  See Mr. Vittoria or Mrs. Pierce with any questions.

    • Mrs. Teichman's Halloween Ensemble will meet for the first time this Monday at 7am. See Mrs. Teichman with any questions.

    • Monday starts Homecoming Spirit Week. Wear your best Bills Mafia apparel. No worries if you do not have Buffalo Bills clothing, wear red, white, and blue! This is one of Dr. Gray's favorite days. 

    • The modified girls volleyball team lost a tough fought battle to Sweet Home on Wednesday night.  Myia Scozzafava, Ava O'Callaghan, and Izzy Plewinski led the offense with some outstanding attacks.  Kennedy Szpilewski,  Leah Petrozzi, and Abby Diffenderfer played amazing defense.  Morgan Gerhard and Brookelyn Belling served great for the Spartans.  Come and support our team at our home game TONIGHT against Williamsville East.  

    • The Starpoint JV Cheerleaders took 2nd place at their first competition of the season!  Congratulations to our Spartan cheerleaders!

    • The modified girls soccer team won their third game in a row Thursday against Sweethome 10-0. Sophia hart led the team by posting her first clean sheet of the season. Olivia Streicher led the team in scoring with 3 goals followed by 2 goals each by Ava Barnett and Maddie G. Also scoring were Emily Sole, Lily W, and Gabby Schmidt. Ivy Kinyon and Lily W also helped out with very nice assists. Kate C had a solid game on defense to help with the shutout. 


    Thursday, September 29th
    B Day

    • Attention: All students who missed the Mile Run test last week. Mile Run Make Ups will be this Thursday  and next Tuesday during 9th period. Please register in Google Classroom. Anyone who needs to make up a PE class can still register on these days also.

    • Your Modified Football team earned their first victory of the season yesterday against a visiting Sweet Home squad by the final score of 20-14.  The Spartans scored early and often with the help of an amazingly stingy defensive front three of Anthony Smith, Greyson Nueman and Patrick Fraser. The stellar defensive end play of Max Butcher and Kyle Kuhns kept the speedy Panthers from getting to the outside.  The entire team pitched in and played good sound football to guarantee the win. Great job boy's! Our next contest will be Thursday 10/6 on the road @ Williamsville East. 

    • The Modified Boys soccer team and a thorough performance yesterday in an 11-1 victory over Sweethome. Stellar performances in the midfield from Doug D and Lucas Hawley along with lockdown defense from little B - Benjamin Spinks.  Leading the front line with the goals were Hudson Styrzo with 4, Nolan O'Lay with 3, Nate Millville & TJ Martin each with 2. The victory puts the team at 3-1 & they next host Williamsville South on Friday 10/7.

    • Yesterday, the Cross Country team traveled to Alden to compete.  In the girls' 7th and 8th grade race, Elizabeth Manta placed 2nd out of 118 runners.  Savannah Wilcox and Mikayla Maloney placed in the top 20.  Kylie Wright, Mia Smith, Annie Thompson, Denise Galipeau, Madison Tilleli, Micca Smith and Alexis Keller -Clark all had personal best times. In the boys' 7th and 8th grade William English, Jameson Depew, Dylan Feeley and Ben Jordan had season best performances. Great job team.

    • The lady Spartans dropped a well fought match to Williamsville East on Saturday 5 to 2. The team was shorthanded several players but still put in a great effort. Nora and Grace Crissman scored the goals.

    • On Saturday, the Cross Country team traveled to compete in the East Aurora Invitational.  All 9 members of the boy's team had personal best times.  Will English and Jamason Depew finished 1 and 2 for Starpoint and the Boys took 6th place out of 12 teams.  In the girl's 7th and 8th-grade race, Elizabeth Manta and Ella Schultie placed in the top 5 out of 100 runners and the girl's team took first overall out of 10 teams.  Savannah Wilcox, Mikayla Maloney, and Kylie Wright were an integral part of the win. Congratulations to all team members on a great day!

    • The Lady Spartans varsity soccer team won an exciting game against a physical Hamburg team last night with a 3-1 victory. Madison Mallone had two great goals after being relentless in our attacking third. Assists coming from Mattie Adamo and Grace Crissman who earned herself the third and final goal of the game with a PK. Lilly Krentz and the Spartans defense helped shut down Hamburg and get the team the win! 

    • Girls Varsity swim team gave their rival Amherst a run for their money last night. Winning the meet up until the last event where they fell short by only two points. We consider this meet a win. The girls overall had 20 best times! A personal best time in the 50 free from Keira Curvin with a 26.82 placed 2nd. Shannon Zugelder had a personal best time in both her 100 IM and 100 breast. Ryan Hutton also had season bests in her 100 backstroke placing 3rd. Good fight ladies! 

    • The girls modified soccer team won its second game in a row by defeating Amherst 3-2. They were led by Maddie G with 2 goals and Olivia Streicher with 1 goal. Also they had great goaltending by Sophia Hart and solid defense by Ivy Kinyon, Maggie Commisso, and Tori Kowalewski.  The girls home opener is Thursday at 5. 

    • Boys Modified Team had an impressive 6-0 win over Amherst middle school. They are now 2-1 overall thus far in the season. Nate Milleville with the 3 goal hat trick. TJ Martin, Ben Leberman Hudson Styrzo each added a goal as well. The defense led by Logan Herbst and goalkeeper Collin Campbell held the shutout. 
      The boys play next Wednesday, hosting Sweethome.


    Thursday, September 22nd

    • Your Modified Football team suffered their second loss of the season last night on the road against Amherst by a final score of 28-13. The Spartans were within 1 point at halftime with a stellar pick six by Victor Collins along with a great offensive touchdown pass from David Chase to Kyle Kuhns. The team continues to work hard towards earning that first win of the year. Our next game will be our home opener on Wed. @ 5:00 against a very capable Sweet Home squad. Come out and support your Spartans.


    Wednesday, September 21st

    • All PE classes need to be prepared for the Mile Run test this Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday, weather permitting. Please come to class dressed accordingly and water bottles filled.

    • The girls JV soccer team added another win to their record shutting out Amherst 2-0. A goal by Gianna Prezioso put Starpoint ahead early while Mya D secured the win with the 2nd goal. Ari H got the shut out again in net for Starpoint.

    • Let your kindness shine bright today- hopefully you remembered all your boldest, brightest outfits. For Wednesday, Starpoint Middle School is tied together with kindness so do not forget to wear your favorite tie-dye or a tie!

    • Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer win over West Seneca West, 2-1.  8th grader Grace Crissman continues to impress by scoring the game winner.  The girls host their first home game tomorrow at 5 pm on the turf.  Please come support the girls.

    • The boys modified volleyball team beat Hamburg middle school yesterday five sets to zero to win the match, great job serving by Noah LaRock and Tyler Lamm. Next practice Tuesday after school.

    • The Girls Varsity Swim Team has started their season off right with a win against Will. South last Friday and another win against Hamburg 52-45. 
      Keira Curvin swam a personal best time in her 100 free and was a part of the Top 20 swims of the evening. Marley Sinatra also achieved a personal best in her 100 breaststroke. Malea Mugler placed in the 500 freestyle. Ryan Hutton and Shannon Zugelder also placed scoring the Spartans points in their 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke. Nice start to the season ladies!

    • The boys modified volleyball team beat Williamsville South yesterday at Mill Middle School 5 sets to 0 to win the match. James Kwasniak and Tyler Schmidt had a great day serving while Rocco Preziozo was all over the court keeping the ball alive. Great start to the season.

    • The varsity girls soccer team put in a wonderful effort despite falling to Williamsville South 4-2. 8th grader Nora Crissman continues to shine. This extremely young team never gave up and outscored South in the 2nd half and are starting to garner respect in ECIC.

    • The Lady Spartans varsity soccer team dropped a heart breaker to Roy-Hart on Friday losing on PK’s.  Becca Danwin scored her first ever varsity goal, and Grace Crissman chipped in with the other regulation goal.  On Saturday, the girls picked up their first win of the season. Brenna Bodekker scored a hat trick, Nora Crissman picked up and assist.  Mattie Adamo played outstanding both games.
