• Friday, June 10th
    A Day

    • Reminder to all 8th grade students: Today is your moving up day picnic. After 5th period please make your way outside through the middle stairway of F-wing to enjoy a hot dog lunch, courtesy of Student Council. Please remember to use appropriate hallway behaviors when exiting the building. See you later!!

    • Attention all 8th grade students: Today your homeroom teachers will be handing out tshirts. Please wear these on Monday for your Moving Up Day Assembly. 

    • Please be sure to return all library books, chargers, chromebooks and headphones to the LMC!

    • Mrs. Teichman's band students are done with their instruments and should be taken home immediately. Any school owned instruments must be returned ASAP!  See Mrs. Teichman for a form to rent over the summer. 

    • Attention to all students interested in running modified cross country this fall. Please look for flyers in 6th and 7th grade hallways and use the Google Classroom Code to join! 

    • To all girls interested in playing JV or Varsity soccer next year there will be a brief meeting 9th period today, Friday June 10th in room D-28 in the middle school.  It is important that you attend so the coaches can gather your information for communication over the summer and prior to tryouts.  All girls are welcome to try out, whether you play travel, used to play soccer, or never played but you are athletic and want to give it a try.  


    Wednesday, June 8th
    D Day

    • The time you have been waiting for has arrived! Yearbooks will be handed out today during homeroom.
      - Students should know who has their yearbook at all times
      - Students should not sign a yearbook unless they have permission to do so from the owner of that book
      - Remember that your parents will read what's written in your yearbook
      Please be considerate when signing yearbooks. If you are caught writing anything inappropriate, you will be responsible for replacing that yearbook and disciplinary action will be taken.

    • Please be sure to return all library books to the LMC!

    • Sports Study Hall will be held in the LMC today. Again, sports study hall is NOT in the cafeteria today - it will be in the LMC. 

    • The LMC will be closed today periods 1, 2, 6, 7, 8. Again the LMC will be closed today periods 1, 2, 6, 7, 8. 

    • ATTENTION 8th-grade student council members: There is a mandatory meeting today, 9th period, with Mrs. Marone in D-34. Please bring your Chromebooks.

    • Mile run and PE class make ups will be offered Thursday.

    • There will be a meeting during 9th period in the Middle school gym today for anyone interested in running Modified Cross Country next Fall.

    • Today's lunch is Bosco Sticks with dipping sauce.

    • Congrats to the Girls Lacrosse team on winning their final game yesterday against Amherst.  The Lady Spartans beat the Tigers by a score of 11-3.  The girls played exceptionally well. Goals were scored by Josefina Yanosh, Mihla Smith, Kendall Allen, Marlee Dorgan, Mya Dorgan and Gabby Knoebel. Congrats Ladies on a great season! 


    Tuesday, June 7th
    C Day

    • Please be sure to return all library books to the LMC!

    • The winners of our last chance raffle are Hunter Frawley from Mrs. Maloney and Ella Balling from Ms. Easton. Congratulations!

    • The District Jazz Concert is tonight! Mrs. Teichman's jazz band should arrive at the middle school band room with their instrument and music at 6:30pm. Dress nicely - no shorts or jeans please. The concert starts at 7pm in the High School auditorium. See Mrs. Teichman with any questions.

    Monday, June 6th
    B Day

    • Mile run and PE class make-ups will be offered this week on: Tuesday, June 7th and Thursday, June 9th.

    • ATTENTION all 8th grade Student Council members, there is a mandatory meeting this Wednesday with Mrs. Marone in room  D-34. Please bring your chromebooks.

    • Attention students participating in the color run. The run and activities will be tomorrow from 2:30-5. Please head straight to the auditorium after school and find your homeroom section to sit in. The run will happen in the rain, so please dress accordingly. Looking forward to a fun event! Today is also the last day to participate in the basket raffle.

    • Your Starpoint boys modified lacrosse team finished their season with a tough loss to Grand Island 12-4 on Friday. Anthony Smith and Cullen Reardon split time in goal, with each making 4 saves. Rory Schultz had 3 goals, David Chase had a goal and an assist, and Tyler Owen added an assist. Nate Hammond had a couple key face off wins leading to fast break chances. Spencer Argentieri played a strong game on the defensive end, causing turnovers and scooping up ground balls. 

    • On Friday and Saturday, the Varsity Track and Field Teams had a great meet at the Section 6 State Qualifier Meet. Eighth-grader Emily Waldron set a personal best in pole vault, jumping 8 feet to finish ninth after being ranked outside of the top 16 before the meet! Eighth-grader Shannon Zugelder also competed well in three events: fourth place in the 3000 meters, sixth place in the 1500 meters, and as the anchor leg on the eighth-place 4 by 800 meter relay. Two Starpoint athletes qualified for the state meet: High school senior Veda Jauch won the discus and shot put, and senior Alyssa Armitage won the pole vault, with the top vault in New York State this year! Congratulations to Emily, Shannon, and the rest of our student athletes. We are very proud of you!

    • Mile run and PE class make ups will be offered next week on: Tuesday, June 7th and Thursday, June 9th.

    • Mrs. Teichman's 6th and 7th period lessons today are CANCELLED. Again, lessons with Mrs. Teichman during sixth and seventh periods today are cancelled. 

    • Attention all JV football players. There is a mandatory meeting Tuesday, June 7th from 2:30-3:10 in the High School 3rd gym. We will discuss summer workouts, 7on7 passing tournament and contact camp. Please bring a pencil. Any Questions see coach Racey

    • Today's lunch is mac n cheese!

    • Over the next two days, Emily Waldron and Shannon Zugelder will represent Starpoint Varsity Track and Field at their first State Qualifier meet in 3 years. Both of them have worked hard to set big personal records at the best possible time. If you see Emily or Shannon today, make sure to wish them good luck! 


    Thursday, June 2nd
    D Day

    • As a reminder, middle school students should NOT, under any circumstances, order food to be delivered to school. This includes during 9th period. If you have questions, please stop by the main office. 

    • Congratulations to the softball team on a magnificent season winning 11 games and losing only one.  The girls had the best record in their ECIC division. Congratulations to all the 8th graders on a wonderful modified career and good luck moving forward, you will be missed.  


    Wednesday, June 1st
    C Day

    • Good morning, don't forget the last day to use your Starbucks will be June 3rd. Starmart will be closed after this date. Your pink or green Starbucks will not be accepted next year. We will have a last chance surprise raffle for the month of June.

    • The LMC will be closed periods 6 and 7. 

    • Mr. Wasylenko's 3rd, 4th, and 5th periods will be held in the auditorium today. His 6th and 7th periods will be held in the LMC, and his 8th period class will be held in the cafeteria. There are signs posted by the aud, LMC, and cafeteria as reminders. 

    • Attention all Chloes, that's anyone named Chloe.  If you are Chloe and you lost a purple heart necklace attachment, come see Mr. Johnson in F-15.

    • The May winners of the Starmart drawing are Dominic Gianadda by Mrs. Pierce, Gabby Schmidt from Ms. Grabowski, Matalyn Adamo from Mrs. Fanara, and Emma Lichtenberger from Mrs. Julian. Please come to Starmart to claim your prizes.

    • All library books should be returned this week!

    • Attention Media Club Members

    • Attention students and staff! During lunches this week you can purchase tickets for basket raffles. Each ticket is $1 and supports a great cause. Some of the baskets include: an Amazon gift card, Xbox gift card, a golf certificate, free pizza and many more.  Also during lunch you can buy tickets for the food and events at the color run. All tickets are $1. 

    • The girls modified lacrosse team beat Hamburg yesterday by a score of 10-7. The Bulldogs scored 2 goals in the first two minutes of the game but our lady Spartans rallied back.  Goal scorers of the game were Kylie Sturgeon, Nora Crissman, Mya Dorgan, Marlee Dorgan, Mihla Smith and Kendall Allen.  Our defense team led by Mariah Uhl, our goalie really stepped up to prevent Hamburg from scoring! They have another game tonight at home against Grand Island.  Congrats ladies. 

    • Your Starpoint boys' modified lacrosse team got a much deserved victory over Sweet Home, 11 to 5. Rory Schultz led the scoring with 6 goals, David Chase got a hat trick and both Devin Kantor and Alex Yungbluth got a goal each.  Luke Cyrek and Nate Hammond both had two assists along with Sean McDonald, Devin Kantor, Carter Bridge, Nate Cooney and Anthony Smith each getting one assist.  Sean McDonald, Luke Cyrek and Nate Hammond had dominant performances at the faceoff X.  Gavin Gradl, Jack Austin, Spencer Argentieri and Nate Cooney played strong defensively, causing multiple turnovers and cleaning up ground balls in front of the net.
