    A Day

    • Attention all Girls in Grades 6 and 7 that are interested in playing modified volleyball next fall:  There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 4th during 9th period in Mrs. Slack's room (F-16).  Please plan to attend.

    • Congratulations to the softball girls on their 25-1 win over Sweet home.  Brooke Wasik pitched a great game.  Amanda Brady and Erin Thompson smashed the ball.  Maddy Walby, Arianna Reynolds and Erin Thompson all had great games as well.  Congrats to the 7th graders on playing and winning their 1swt game as a Spartan.

    • Yesterday the girls JV lacrosse team defeated Sweethome by a score of 5 to 4 with 1.2 seconds left in the game. Nina Briggs scored one of the Spartans 5 goals and Arianna Hamilton added another.  Tacori Scarfone and Lilly Tortorella both played well.  

    • Attention 2022 National Junior Honor Society inductees: please check Google Classroom for an important message. See Mrs. Jones in F-34 if you have any questions. Tune in this Sunday to Channel 2 News Daybreak to see their interview with Reuben Lowry, Starpoint Middle's STEM Star Student of the Month!

    Thursday, April 28th
    D Day

    • Spartan Star - the newspaper club will be meeting Monday, May 2nd in room D-30/D 32 - Any questions see Mr. Vittoria or Mrs Pierce.

    • Mrs. Fanara's SSA group will meet today after school!  See you there!

    • For any 8th graders or possibly 7th graders that are interested in trying out for JV Soccer in the fall and can attend the meeting next week: Boys Soccer Meeting will be in the High School Library Media Center (LMC) on Wednesday 5/4  2:25-3:10.

    • Next week Student Council will be having a Spirit Week!

      Friday- Pay $1 to wear a hat to support Student Council

    Wednesday, April 27th
    B Day

    • The LMC will be closed 9th period today and during testing.

    • Attention Art Club members! Our next art club meeting will be THIS Wednesday, April 27th, 9th period in either D22 or E2. See you there! 

    • Mrs. Ragusa's JH Jazz Ensemble (Grades 8+9)  will rehearse tomorrow (WEDS) at 6:45 am in the HS Band room! See you there!

    • Attention Mrs. Norwood's family group.  We will meet today after school.


    Monday, April 25th
    A Day

    • Attention 6th grade chorus students! This is a reminder that groups E, F, G & H have voice lessons with Miss Graves today. If you aren't sure of your lesson period, please check google classroom or stop down and see Miss Graves during 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th periods. Thank you!

    • Do you like to eat snacks and read with your friends?  If so, join Mrs. Niziol and Mrs. Fanara in Book Club today, April 25th in Mrs. Fanara's room after school. 

    • As a reminder, unless you have an appointment with a teacher, staying for after school help or a club or a sport practice, you must go home at dismissal.  

    • There will be a sign up sheet outside of the LMC for 9th period on Mondays and Tuesdays. There will be a limited amount of students so be sure to sign up - you may only choose one day of the two. Thank you!

    • On Saturday, the Varsity Track and Field team took the first step towards a division title, with wins for both the boys and girls against Williamsville South. Shannon Zugelder took first in the 1500 meters after running a great leadoff leg for the winning 4 by 800 meter relay. Emily Waldron also had a great meet, taking third in the 100 meters in her first varsity dual meet. On the boys side, Brandon Clarke matched his personal best as part of the varsity 4 by 800 meter relay team. Catch these speedy 8th graders, along with the rest of the team, on Tuesday at 4:30 PM at the Starpoint track, as the teams take on Williamsville East!


    Thursday, April 7th
    C Day

    • Today is National Assistant Principal’s Week and we would like to take this opportunity to recognize all Mrs. Bundrock does for our school. If you see her in the hallway, be sure to say hi and wish her a happy assistant principals week!

    • The hunt is on!!! Yes, Starpoint middle you can start looking for Easter eggs hidden throughout the building! Each egg has a little surprise inside and if you find a golden egg it has an extra surprise!

    • Please stop down to check the Lost & Found to see if there's anything you may have misplaced.  There are quite a few lunchboxes, water bottles and pencil pouches. All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the week.

    • Attention All 8th grade WEB Leaders:  please join us for a WEB Lunch meeting today in Mr. Scully's room.  That's all 8th grade WEB Leaders to Mr. Scully's room for lunch today.

    • Attention all 2022 National Junior Honor Society inductees: there will be a rehearsal for tomorrow's ceremony TODAY right after school in the MS Aud. If you can not attend, or will not be here for the ceremony please let Mrs. Jones know.

    • The 6th grade band students have just finished their Band Olympics!  Mrs. Teichman would like to congratulate the following groups: Winning Bronze is team Vlutica!  Winning Silver is team Clari-note-a-stand (pronounced clari note a stand)!  And Gold goes to team Clarinado!  Congratulations to all the band olympians! 

    • Attention media club members! Media club will be meeting today - April 6th in room D-22! Be sure to bring your chrome books---Melody and August--don't forget to bring snack/drink. 

    • Mrs. Fanara's SSA group will not be meeting this week.  Enjoy your break!

    • On Tuesday, your Lady Spartan varsity softball team defeated Frontier by a score of 9-7.  Leading Starpoint with four hits was Bailey Briggs, including two doubles and 3 RBI.  Lauren Amacher got the complete game win in the circle. Morgan Neal added 3 hits while Marah Schotz chipped in with 2 RBI.  Strong defensive games from Anna Solar, Lindsey Blount, and Maddie Beckman.  Starpoint travels to Sweet Home today at 5!

    • Just a friendly reminder that Mrs. Niziol's SSA group meets today during 9th period. Grant, you signed up to bring snack!  

    • Attention Mrs. Norwood's Safe School Ambassador Family Group.  We will meet today after-school.  We have a birthday in the group so there will be cake!!

    • The 7th grade band students have just finished their Band Olympics!  Mrs. Teichman would like to congratulate the following groups: Winning Bronze is team Clara Keys!  Winning Silver is Team Cornets-on-a-cob and Gold goes to team France Horns!  Congratulations to all the band Olympians!

    • April's Starmart drawing is for 2 winners for 2 coupons each to Uncle G's ice cream. Yes Starpoint, ice cream weather is coming!

    • The winner of the autographed bandits picture is Rory Schultz given by Mrs. Niziol. Please come to Starmart to claim your prize.

    • Attention band students - Bandalorian t-shirt orders are due today! Please bring them down to Mrs. Teichman during homeroom or band. Thank you!
      Mrs. Teichman's jazz band will rehearse TODAY during 9th period.
