    B Day

    • Monday's 12 days winner is Natalie Prezioso from Mrs. Niziol. Please come to Starmart to claim your prizes.

    • Do you like to eat snacks and read with your friends? If so, join Mrs. Niziol and Mrs. Fanara in Book Club after break on Monday, January 3rd in Mrs. Fanara's room after school. Victoria, don't forget to bring the snack!

    • The JV girls basketball team moved to 4-0 with a 58-15 win over Royhart. Natalie Prezioso, Cloe Darlak and Lauren Serena combined for 17.

    • The Modified Swim Team had their first meet last week against Hamburg. All swimmers competed extremely well, setting the time standards for themselves for the season.
      Girls stand out swims include: Aubrey Baker in the 200 freestyle, Kaci Smith in the 100 IM, Sophia Mussel in the 50 freestyle, Mackenzie Yeardon in the 50 breaststroke, and Kaitlyn Dissek in the 50 backstroke.
      Boys stand out swims include: Sam Wichhart in the 200 freestyle, Grant Benedict in the 100 IM and 100 freestyle, Colin Campbell in the 50 freestyle, Keaton Lemieux in the 50 butterfly, and Cooper Krawczyk and Sam Hoover in the 50 backstroke.
      Congratulations to the whole team, and good luck the rest of the season!

    • Tomorrow's Spirit day is UGLY SWEATERS.

    • On Friday, Shannon Zugelder broke the school record in the indoor 3000 meter run, taking first place in 10 minutes, 54 seconds! She also broke the 1500 meter school record last week. Brandon Clarke also ran a great race in the 1000 meter run, running tough from the front of the pack in his heat. Great work Shannon and Brandon! The varsity indoor track team will return to competition in 2022.

    • Last night the girl's modified basketball team won at home 31- 12, against Amherst! Team captain Becca Danwin sank her first three of the season and contributed 11 points to the score. Team captain Jade Goranites also contributed 6 points for the lady spartans. Kennedy Szpilewski scored 6 points. Olivia Schmidt scored 4 points. Maria Giomundo and Maria Kwasniak contributed 2 points each as well. Hadley Greismer was a brick house on defense. Great job Lady Spartans! Next game is Thursday at home against Will South. Come out and show your support!

    • Attention Talent Show Cast. There will be a mandatory meeting today during 9th period. We will meet in the auditorium. Please be sure to bring your chromebooks and something to write with!

    • There will be a 7th grade foreign language club meeting in F18 today during 9th period. We will be making Christmas ornaments and eating snacks. Bring a friend!

    • Congratulations to the Niagara County Lady Warriors HS hockey team on their big 7-0 victory over East Green Wave from Westchester County, NY Friday night at the WNY Girls HS Hockey Showcase. Sammy Latini had 2 assists in the win. The girls moved to 4-1 on the season.

    • The JV girls basketball team moved to 3-0 with a 44-24 win over Newfane. Natalie Prezioso finished with 10. The girls travel to Roy Hart on Friday.

    • Mrs. Teichman would like to remind her 7th grade band students to wear holiday hats on Tuesday. You will be recording Christmas songs for the Fricano video. Again, 7th grade band students should wear holiday hats tomorrow!

    • Mrs. Teichman, Mr. Volpe and Ms. Arlotta would like to congratulate all of the students that participated in the instrumental and vocal solo festival this Saturday! We are proud to have so many hardworking, talented musicians at Starpoint Middle!

    • Congratulations to the Modified Boys Basketball team on their thrilling season opening win 34-33, Friday night vs Iroquois. With the Spartans trailing 33-31 and just 18 seconds left, Mason Mikulski made what would be the game winning 3-pointer. Mason finished with a game high 15 points. Sean Whelehan had 8 points and Nolan Carter added 6. The Spartans next game is Tuesday, at home versus Amherst.

    • Friday the JV girls basketball team beat Olmstead 55-9. Lauren Serena scored 10, Natalie Prezioso scored 7 and Cloe Darlak scored 6. The next game is today at home against Newfane.

    • Congratulations to the girls varsity team on their win over St. Mary’s of Lancaster 4-0. 7th grader Madeline Jagow and 8th grader Sammy Latini pick up their first ever Varsity goals. Skylar Berube picked up an assist. The girls move to 3-1 on the young season.

    • Pick up for the student council fundraiser will be today from 2:30-5:00 in the MS Cafeteria. Student Council members please arrange a ride for 5:00 so you can stay and help out with the orders.

    • Congratulations to the girls HS hockey team on their second win of the season, 4-1 over HEWS. Sammy Latini had some great assists.

    • The November winner of the signed Sabres stick is Daniel Saverer from Mrs. Tower. You can both come to Starmart to claim your prizes.
