Girl's Varsity Swim team swam at their Class B meet on Wednesday evening. Shannon Zugelder swam a personal best time in her 200 IM of 2:55.01 and her 100 fly with a time of 1:25.91. Keira Curvin swam personal bests in both her events; a 28.62 in her 50 free and shaved 18 seconds off of her 500 freestyle time. Malea Mugler also shaved significant time off her 500 with a time with a personal best of 6:44.61. Kylie Kwowka will be swimming in the finals tonight as she made the top 16 in her events. Congrats girls!

Your Modified Football team dropped their final game of the season on the road losing 20-0 against West Seneca West. The Spartans were overmatched early and couldn't quite recover as the game went on. Starpoint finished the year with a winning overall record of 4-3. Great job Spartans!!!

Great job to the girls modified volleyball team on tough loss 3 sets to 2 again Sweet Home last night. Kylie Sturgeon, Isabella Billanti, and Macey Tomm led the team with some great serves. Sam Washington, Cloe Darlak, and Sophie Rosner led the offense with some outstanding swings at the net. Great season girls!!

The Girls Modified Soccer team ended their season Friday with a 2 - 2 tie in overtime vs. Will East. Brenna B scored both goals for Starpoint. Congrats to the girls on all their accomplishments this season!

Over the weekend the Girl's Varsity Swim Team placed 3rd overall in the ECIC Championship meet against other Divison II schools. Our own Keira Curvin participated in the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Individually, Kylie Kwoka dominated getting first place in her 500 freestyle. This set an ECIC record as well as, broke our Starpoint school record. She also placed second overall in her 200 freestyle. Awesome work representing Starpoint Kylie and Keira!

The girls modified volleyball team lost a hard fought battle to Hamburg on Thursday of last week. Ava O'Callaghan, Bella Dedovats, Kylie Sturgeon, and Liliana Billanti kept the team in the game with their great serves. Macey Tomm, Myia Scozzafava, Cloe Darlak, and Teaghan Fowler made some great plays with their outstanding hustle. Kennedy Szpilewski, Sophie Rosner, Mackenzie Sommers, and Taryn Plekan were passing right on point to start up the Spartan offense. Great job girls! Come out to support your Lady Spartans at their last home game tonight at 6:30.

Your Modified football team cruised to a 33-12 victory at home yesterday against West Seneca East. Starpoint line play was unmatched the entire game led by the outstanding blocking of Jaemison Clark, and Spencer Argentieri. Top offensive performances were turned in by Frank Buttitta, Victor Collins and Trent Ostrowski. Defensively the Trojans had no answer for the superb tackling of Gannon Andrews. Amazing job team! Our final game is next Wednesday on the road against West Seneca West.

Yesterday the Cross Country team traveled to Clarence to compete in their last meet of the season. In the boy's 7th grade race Luke Cyrek placed 2 overall out of 67 runners. Andrew Jenneve, Peter McGrath, Keaton Lemieux, Connor Profrock, Kyler Mugler, and Noah LaRock all had season-best times. In the girl's 7th-grade race Elizabeth Manta placed 4th out of 70 runners. Mikayla Maloney placed in the top 10. Ava Cantanese, Angie Pascual, Annie Thompson, Allie Piechowski, and Mecca Smith all had season-best times. Congrats to all team members on an awesome season.

Last night, the Varsity Cross Country teams moved one step closer to a league title with wins over Williamsville East and Williamsville South. Shannon Zugelder won the girls race, completing the muddy 3 mile course in 18 minutes, 54 seconds. Brandon Clarke ran a gutsy race to contribute to the boys team win. The boys team is 5-0, while the girls move to 4-1. Both teams will compete at the ECIC Championships next Saturday, at East Aurora High School.

Teaghan Fowler, Myia Scozzafava, Taryn Plekan, Ava O’Callaghan, and Cloe Darlak all served great for the Spartans. Kennedy Szpilewski, Sophie Rosner, and Mackenzie Sommers made some outstanding defensive plays to keep the Spartans in the game. Great job girls! Your Modified football team improved their season record to 3 wins 1 loss with a huge victory on the road against Williamsville North by the final score of 20-8. The Spartans struggled early but were inspired by a big punt block for a scope and score by Jaemison Clark. Combined with two more touchdowns from Trent Ostrowski and Victor Collins, Starpoint cruised to an easy win. Special recognition was also earned by Trent Likus for giving the ultimate hit of the game. The entire team worked hard to secure this victory. Way to work and come together guys! Our next game is on the road next Wed. against Williamsville South.

Yesterday the Cross Country team travelled to Iroquois to compete on a very challenging course. In the boys 7th and 8th-grade race Peter McGrath had a season-best performance. In the girls 7th and 8th-grade race, Elizabeth Manta placed 12th out of 105 runners with a season-best performance. Mikayla Maloney, Juliana Funari and Mecca Smith had season-best times.

Last night, Varsity Cross Country celebrated eleven awesome seniors with a double win over Pioneer. Brandon Clarke didn't let a little mud stop him from taking a minute and a half off of his personal best to finish in the top 7. Shannon Zugelder led the Lady Spartans, who won with a perfect score of 15 points. The teams are ready to carry their momentum into the Alden Bulldog Stampede on Saturday.

JV Field Hockey won an impressive game on the road last night against West Seneca. In a 6-0 shut out great skill was shown by the whole team. A goal was scored by Sammy Latini, another goal was scored by Alexa Johnson, two goals were scored by Natalee Lawrence, and two goals were scored by Julia Lukasik. They play Pioneer at home today, good luck ladies!

The Girls Modified Soccer Team lost a hard fought battle yesterday falling 0 - 1 to West Seneca East. Their next home game is Friday at 5 vs Will South.

The modified boys volleyball team lost a close match to Sweet Home Middle last night 3 sets to two. Great serving by Declan Shea and James Kwasniak.

After giving up an early goal, the JV soccer girls battled back to tie the game 1-1 off of a great strike from Spartan Helmet winner, Sadie Eiss. She went on Kaelan Bevilacqua played lights out in net. Grace Crissman dominated the midfield and showed how she can control a game with her skill, drive and competitiveness. Lily Krentz marked Amherst’s best player and made her invisible all game long. Each game a parent, referee, or spectator compliments how much this team has improved from last year and throughout the season this year.

The Girls Modified Soccer Team improved their season record to 3 wins and 3 losses with a 6 - 0 victory over Sweet Home Saturday. Sylvia K and Megan C shared the shutout in net. Brenna B scored her second hat trick of the season, Natalia M scored 2 goals, and Maddie G scored 1 goal. Natalia M led the team in assists with 2.
