Starpoint is now a part of the New York State Seal of Biliteracy Program(NYSSB). 

It allows graduating seniors the opportunity to achieve this prestigious distinction by completing several steps and criteria.  They are:

• Be enrolled in Checkpoint C of a FL ( level 5) and be at mastery (85%)
• Complete the application process
• Complete a written project in both the target language and English
• Have achieved a 3 or higher on the AP language exam
• Successfully present and defend the projects(s) in front of a panel at the end of the school year

Upon completion, the students will receive:

• A medal to wear with graduation regalia
• A certificate from NY state of this distinction as well as a Seal on their diploma
• A notation in the HS transcript of the honor
