    • The JV soccer girls played a great game against a formidable opponent in Williamsville East. The girls dominated in the 1st half of the game but fell short in the 2nd. Ari Hamilton and Mia Giamberdino were the co-Spartan helmet player of the game recipients.

    • Yesterday the Cross Country team traveled to Alden to compete. In the boy's 7th-grade race Luke Cyrek placed 2 out of 75 runners. Andrew Jenneve and Connor Profrock had season-best times. In the girls 7th grade race Elizabeth Manta placed 6 out of 59 runners. Ava Cantanese, Annie Thompson, Angie Pascual, Leah Smedley, and Mecca Smith ran season-best times. Good work to all on a very difficult course.

    • Your Modified Football team suffered their first loss of the season yesterday when they fell 32-7 to the visiting beast of a team from Iroqouis. The Spartans fell behind early and could never recover, but in true Starpoint fashion the team never quit! The squad will work hard to bounce back from this when they travel to Williamsville North next Wednesday.

    • The Starpoint girls tennis team lost a great match last night to Hamburg 2-3. Keeping the match within reach was the 2nd doubles tandem of Ariana Reynolds and Ella Gielow. Battling through both sets they kept it close and just wouldn't go down without a fight! They eventually lost in the tie break but what a match. Next the lady Spartans play Springville today @ Home. Come on out and support!

    • The boys modified volleyball team defeated Hamburg Middle school 3 matches to 2 last night, thanks to the tremendous serving of Tyler Lamm and Tyler Schmidt, great job team!! Next match is Friday against Amherst.

    • Congratulations to the modified girls volleyball team on their win over the extremely tough Hamburg team on Tuesday. Taryn Plekan, Ava O’Callaghan, Macey Tomm, and Miya Scozzafava scored many points on their awesome serving! Outstanding plays were also made by Lily Billanti, Kylie Sturgeon, Sophie Rosner, and Teaghan Fowler. Bella Dedovets, Cloe Darlak, and Kennedy Szpilewski had great plays at the net. Mackenzie Sommers had a terrific rundown to save the play from the other court. Amazing win girls!

    • The girls lost a heartbreaker to Amherst 2-1 in the last minute of the game. Matty Adamo and Lily Krentz shared the newly created Spartan helmet for “Player of the Game.” Matty scored one goal and Lily was a beast on defense.

    • JV Field Hockey had an exciting game on the road on Friday. The team dominated the field throughout the game with strong passing and solid defense. The game was won in overtime with a lone score by Natalee Lawrence. The girls face Iroquois away this Thursday. Good luck ladies!

    • The Girls Modified Soccer Team won 5 - 0 over Will East yesterday. Sylvia K earned the shutout in net. Brenna B scored a hat trick for Starpoint and Natalia M and Claire M both added one goal each. Natalia M led the team in assists with 2.

    • On Saturday the Cross Country team traveled to compete in the East Aurora Invitational. In the boy's 7th and 8th-grade race, Luke Cyrek placed 4th out of 139 runners. Andrew Jenneve, Peter McGrath, Hunter Leuer, and Noah LaRock had season-best performances. The boy's team placed 5th out of 13 total teams. In the girl's 7th and 8th-grade race, Elizabeth Manta placed 8th out of 105 runners. Anna Kuehfus and Mikayla Maloney placed in the top 20. Savannah Wilcox, Ava Cantanese, Allie Piechowski, Annie Thompson, Addie Powers, and Leah Smedley all had season-best times. The girls team placed 2nd out of 10 total teams.

    • After a dominating win against Williamsville South last week, the modified boys volleyball team lost to Williamsville East, 3 sets to two. The team was led by their 8th grade players Nicholas Streiff, Logan Schock, Jack Farrell, Rory Schultz, Luke Simons and Wolfgang Trabert. Next game is Tuesday at Hamburg. Go Team!

    • The modified boys soccer team beat Amherst 4-0 over the weekend. Carson LoTempio had 2 goals, Brayden Milleville had 1 goal and Josh Streicher had one goal. Colin Campbell had the shut out in net.

    • On Friday the Starpoint modified field hockey team traveled to Sweet Home to take on the Panthers. The girls went home with a 3-1 victory. Maddie Walby scored her first goal of the season within 3 minutes of the first half. In the second half the lady Spartans still battled on to score two more goals. The Second goal was scored by Tacori Scarfone. The third goal was scored by Tessa Ostrowski with 30 seconds left in the 2nd half.

    • The Girls Modified Soccer Team celebrated their first victory of the season yesterday winning 10 - 0 over visiting Frontier. Brenna Boddecker, Maddie Krentz, Natalia McCullough, and Claire Mulligan all scored two goals. Ava Barnett and Calleigh Basille each added one goal. Madelyn Giron led the team in assists with 3. Sylvia Kay posted a shut out in net.

    • Your Modified football team improved their season record to 2-0 yesterday with a 24-12 win over Sweet Home on the road. Nick Sidoni found the end zone twice, while Trent Ostrowski added an insurance touchdown to seal victory. Mason Class earned tough yards all game long. Defensively the Spartans held the Panthers in check with outstanding plays by Ben Ely and a stingy Defensive line. Great job Starpoint!

    • Yesterday the Modified Cross Country team traveled to Lancaster to compete. In the boys, 8th-grade race Keaton Lemieux placed in the top 15 out of 43 runners. In the boys, 7th-grade race Luke Cyrek Placed 1st overall out of 38 total runners. Noah LaRock had a season-best time. In the girls, 8th-grade race Anna Keefis and Ava Cantanese placed in the top 10 out of 31 runners. In the girls, 7th-grade race Elizabeth Manta placed 3 overall out of 34 total runners. Mikayla Maloney, Savannah Wilcox and Annie Thompson placed in the top 10. Micca Smith and Addison Powers had season-best times. Great job team!

    • The Starpoint Girls Modified Soccer team lost in an aggressive game Saturday 1 - 2 at Will South. Madelyn Giron scored Starpoint's goal on a perfectly placed penalty kick. Madelyn was awarded the penalty kick after she dribbled through several Will South players and was fouled in the box.

    • Congratulations to the Girls Modified Volleyball Team on their win over Williamsville South on Saturday. Helping the Spartans with their excellent serving was Amelia Grimm, Kylie Sturgeon, and Sophie Rosner. Aiva McCarey and Morgan Gerhard also had some great plays to secure the win. Great job to all!

    • The Starpoint Girls Modified Soccer team fought a hard battle in their home opener falling 1 - 3 over visiting West Seneca East. Claire Mulligan scored for Starpoint, assisted by Maddie Krentz.

    • Yesterday the Modified Cross Country team travelled to East Aurora. In the boys 7th grade race Luke Cyrek placed 1st out of 75 runners. Peter McGrath and Keaton Lemieux had strong performances. In the girls 7th grade race Elizabeth Manta placed 7th out of 47 total runners. Annie Thompson, Mikayla Maloney, Savannah Wilcox and Juliana Funari placed in the top 15. In the girls 8th grade race Anna Keefis and Angie Pascual placed in the top 15. Congratulations to all members on a successful first race. Reminder-Practice today starts at 2:30, you will travel home on the late bus.

    • Your Modified Football team cruised to an easy 34 - 0 victory yesterday against a very capable visiting Amherst team. The entire squad came together from start to finish to insure the win. Congratulations Starpoint! Well done!

    • Starpoint JV Field Hockey had an outstanding victory on the road against Lancaster Tuesday night. The ladies started strong with frequent scoring bringing them to a 4-1 score by half time. The final score was 10-1, featuring a hat trick by Julia Lukasik, two goals by Natalee Lawrence, two goals by Nina Briggs, a goal by Jordan Duncan, a goal by Cam Carmody, and a goal by Lilly Cook. A great game was had by all with phenomenal passing and great defense. You can catch JV Field Hockey at their next game on Friday at home against Williamsville South. Great job ladies!

    • The Lady Spartans are crushing the beginning of their swim season, 3 and 0. Last night they beat pioneer 69-28. Setting a Pioneer pool record in the 200 freestyle was Kylie Kwoka. Every event had a Starpoint 1st and 2nd place. Great swims from all, ladies.

    • The Spartans boys JV soccer team went against the Amherst tigers last night. They won that game 4-2. Our goal scorers and assist leaders were:Ben Stenman with 2 goals, Matt Tillman with 2 goals, Mason Gurfair with 1 assist and Zack Eli with 1 assist. Great job on the win boys!

    • The girls JV soccer team lost 1-0 to Williamsville South. Despite having severe disadvantages prior to the game, a late bus, rain, and lack of warm up, the girls battled to the end. Arianna Hamilton put in another great effort in goal. Mia Giamberdino was solid at D. Nora C. and the twins, Mya and Marlee played well too. The girls are 2-2-1.

The girls suffered their first non-league loss to Byron-Bergen on Saturday. The team has received solid play from Lilly Krentz, Nora Crissman, Sadie Eiss, Brianna Ginnane amongst many others. The girls are at home today, at 5 pm against a very tough Iroquois team.

Great rounds were shot by Drew Beiter and 7th grader Ayden Mapes. Starpoint's next match is Next Wednesday against Will South at Pendleton Creek Golf Club.
