Kindergarten Registration

To be eligible for Kindergarten in September 2023, a child must be five (5) years of age on or before December 1, 2023. According to New York's education law, all children who turn 6 years old on or before December 1 in any school year must receive full-time instruction from the first day school is in session in September of such school year.  

If your child is attending a nonpublic school (private or parochial), you still must register at Starpoint CSD.  Bus transportation request forms ( which are located on the Starpoint website) for nonpublic schools must be received by the district Transportation Office on or before April 1, 2023.

Parents must complete all the Kindergarten registration paperwork. Please print all of the documents below and complete them after you have completed the online portion.   You must mail the completed forms in or scan and email them in one email to registration@starpointcsd.org.  We also have a registration drop box at the district central office doors.  The slot is below where you would ring for entrance at the D entrance.  The mailing address is, Starpoint CSD, 4363 Mapleton Rd., Lockport, NY  14094, Attn: Central Registrar.  There is no in-person registration.  Please send all the paperwork in by March 10, 2023.

Please be sure to send copies of your proof of residency, the child's proof of age, and health records along with the forms below.  Registration is not complete until we have received all required documents.  

 The following information is required to enroll your child:

• Proof of age (Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, or Passport)
• Current proofs of residency (See sample list below)

Two current proofs of residency are required.  Examples of acceptable proof of residency are:

• Lease agreement
• Automobile insurance
• Current utility bill
• Tax bill
• Current rent bill
• Mortgage statement
