    • The boys' modified soccer team ended their season yesterday with a win at home over sweet home middle school. The final score was 3-0. Anthony Scott scored all 3 goals, with an assist from Mason Gfroerer. The boys ended with 11 wins and only 1 loss. Congratulations to the boys on a great season.

The team would also like to thank all of the incredible students and faculty that came out to cheer us on the season. Way to go Starpoint!

Our goal scorers were: Anthony Scott scored 1 goal, Aedan Porter scored 1 goal, Nolan Armitage scored 1 goal, Cohen Vogel scored 1 goal, and Benjamin Preisch scored 1 goal and had 1 assist. Reid Marriner and Sam Tomm finished 4th and 6th and Franky Payne finished in the top 20. Talon Baron had a season best time. In the boys 7th grade race Tim Lukasik placed 3rd out of 62 runners. Justin Brown, Jackson Griesmer, Ben Olson, Liam Keelty and Charles Hylekma placed in the top 20.

    • In the girls 8th grade race Meagan Zupo placed first with a season best time. Savannah Prosser, Gaurman Kaur, Lyndzie Wagner, Emily Ellis, and Rachael Bud finished in the top 20.     • Yesterday the Cross Country team traveled to Iroquois. In the boys 8th grade race Reid Marriner placed 1st out of 78 runners in a season best time, Jacob Cyrek finished 2nd and Sam Tomm placed 10th with a season best time. In the boys 7th grade race Tim Lukasik and Jackson Griesmer finished in the top 5 out of 88 runners. Justin Brown, Liam Keelty and Ben Olson all placed in the top 20. Talon Baron, Nate Wendt and Hugh Adams all had season best times.

    • In the girls 8th grade race Savannah Prosser placed 1st out of 60 runners, Megan Zupo finished 4th and Gurman Kaur placed in the top 20. In the girls 7th grade race Nora King placed in the top 20 in a season best time. Emily Ellis and Rachael Bud had season best performances. Again great effort by everyone. Our next meet is at home on Wednesday 10/16 at 5:00.

    • Your Modified Football lost a tough game on the road yesterday to Iroquois. The Spartans put forth and amazing team effort as they battled the entire contest but simply could not find the end-zone. With a final score of 14-0 Starpoint falls to 2-3 on the season and will look to even out that record as they play their final road game next week against Alden. Great job team!

    • The modified boys volleyball team got back to their winning ways defeating Williamsville south yesterday 4-1. Lucas Crawford and Noah Umstead had several great hits for point over the net, Brody Morris had 10 serving points which helped to win the second match.

    • Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on their win over williamsville south yesterday. Erin Callahan, Caitlin Deney, and Emma Schwabe kept the team in the game with their awesome serving. Casey Washburn, Courtney Clark, and Maddie Bak had many great passes to keep the offense going. Great job girls.

    • Girls modified field hockey won their game 1-0 to Will South with the goal from jamie fraass. Good game girls!

    • The Spartans boys modified soccer team had another win at home yesterday against Hamburg Middle School. The final score was 4-1. Our goal scorers were: Cohen Vogel scored 2 goals, Nolan Armitage scored 1 goal, Aiden Hinchy scored 1 goal, and Mason Gfoerer had 1 assist. Congrats on the win team!


    Monday, October 7th

    • On Saturday the boys and girls Cross Country teams traveled to compete in the Pembroke Invitational.  Both teams won in dominating fashion.  In the boys race Jacob Cyrek placed 1st overall and Reid Marriner placed 2nd out of 65 runners.  Sam Tomm, Tim Lukasik, and Jackson Greismer finished in the top 10.  Ben Olson finished in the top 20.  Talon Barone and Charles Hylkema had season best times.
      In the girls race Megan Zupo finished 1st out of 45 runners and Savannah Prosser placed 2nd.  Gurman Kaur and Lyndzie Wagner finished in the top 10.  Nora King and Ali Manns placed in the top 20 and Emily Kohler had a season best time.  Fantastic effort by all teams members.

    Friday, October 4th
    B Day

    • Monday October 7th is World Day of Bullying Prevention. On this day people across the world join together to stand against bullying by wearing blue. Each of us can help eliminate bullying by: Avoiding picking on others, putting them down or rejecting them. Report any bullying you witness to an adult.Tell a friend who is picking on someone to "Stop." Offer help to anyone who is picked on. On October 7th those who wear BLUE to show your pledge to end bullying will receive a Starbuck.

    • The annual cookie dough sale has started. We are selling Mrs. Field's cookies.  All orders are due by October 15th. We are extending the coupon sales for the chickens until Monday. That means for every item you have sold by Monday, you will earn an Aqua Chicken. All you need to do is have a parent complete the coupon on the bottom right of the prize sheet stating how many items you have sold and sign it. Turn it into your homeroom rep or teacher. This offer is only good through Monday. Chickens will be sent to your homeroom the next day. The actual orders and money does not need to be returned until October 15th. Good luck with your sales and thank you for helping your school.

    • Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on their win over Amherst yesterday. Sarah Barnum, Izzy Billanti, Erin Callahan, and Natalie Dwyer all went on great serving runs. Chloe Cooney, Emily Butski, Camryn Mielcarek and Meadow Berube all made some great defensive plays. Great job girls!

    • Today is the start of student council's cookie dough/ magazine sale. We are asking everyone to help us fund raise for school programs we provide including all of the 8th grade Moving Up activities and some assemblies that we sponsor. The materials should be in your homeroom this morning. We will have a "coop-on" day Friday (tomorrow). Any one who has sold an item will receive a chicken for each item sold. All you need to collect a chicken is the coupon completed at the bottom of the prize sheet. Friday is the only day you can get chickens for your sales. Please consider helping us so we can help you.

    • Your Modified Football team leveled their season record yesterday to 2-2 for the year with a very tough win against visiting Niagara Wheatfield. The Spartan defense played stingy and aggressive the entire game and kept the Falcons off the scoreboard while also forcing three fumbles during the soggy game conditions. Starpoint finally ran for two touchdowns in the 4th quarter that sealed the victory with a final score of 13-0. Great game team! Our next game will be on the road next Wednesday @ Iroquois.

    • In the girls 8th grade race Meagan Zupo placed 9th out of 74 runners overall; Savannah Prosser placed in the top 15. Emily Ellis had a season best time. In the girls 7th grade race Nora King placed in the top 20 out of 73 runners. Nice job team in very difficult conditions.

    • This weekend the Buffalo Bills look to go 4 and 1. Show your support by wearing your Bills or favorite team's gear. Don't have any? Wearing team colors works too! Go Bills!
