High School Counselor

Julie vanBourgondien has been a school counselor at Starpoint since 1991. She initially spent her first year in the district as the elementary counselor and then moved to her current position in the high school. Julie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Buffalo State College in 1985 and Master of Science in Counseling Education from Niagara University in 1991. Before becoming employed at Starpoint schools, Julie ran a youth diversion program for Lockport City Court system.

Julie is an active member of the Niagara-Orleans Counseling Association, and New York State Counseling Association.
