About Geometry course:
Common Core Geometry will culminate with a Regents Exam in June that will count as one-fifth of the course grade. This course will also fulfill one year of a three-year math graduation requirement. Students who desire to achieve an Advanced Regents Diploma must complete and pass three years of Regents Math Exams (Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II).
The following is the sequence covered throughout the year using the Geometry modules aligned with the New York State learning standards:
Module 1: Congruence, Proof, and Constructions
Module 2: Similarity, Proof, and Trigonometry
Module 3: Extending to Three Dimensions
Module 4: Connecting Algebra and Geometry through Coordinates
Module 5: Circles with and without Coordinates
About Algebra Course:

Module 1: Relationships Between Quantities and Reasoning with Equations and Their Graphs
Module 2: Descriptive Statistics
Module 3: Linear and Exponential Functions
Module 4: Polynomial and Quadratic Expression, Equations, and Functions
Materials:
- For Geometry students only... A Compass (Available for purchase at school for $3)
- 3 ring binder (at least 1.5 inch)
- Straight Edge/Ruler
- Lined Paper or Spiral Notebook
- Pencils
- Bring your district issued to class Chromebook every day.
- NO CELL PHONES are permitted in class (Participation points will be deducted for using them).
Grading:
Your quarterly grades will be calculated using total points. Points are based on assignments given such as delta math, castle learning, google forms, projects, tests and quizzes.
Attendance:
Students are expected to make up missed assignments, notes and classwork when absent.
