WEB CREW

An orientation program for incoming 6th graders.

WEB, a national program that's part of the Boomerang Project, is designed as a transition program for incoming 6th graders. It's built on the premise that students can and will help each other succeed.  

Each small group of 6th graders will be introduced to an 8th grade WEB leader on Orientation Day. Through a series of team building activities, the 6th graders will have a role model to ask questions to and get advice from throughout the year. The 8th graders will have a newly found sense of responsibility as their team is guided through the chaos of 6th grade.  WEB leaders apply in their 7th grade year for training during the summer before orientation.
