Elizabeth Tower has been employed as a School Social Worker at Starpoint since March 1993. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Buffalo State College in 1991 and her Master's Degree from the University of Buffalo in 1992. At the University of Buffalo, she studied with a concentration in families and children. While finishing her studies she completed an Internship as a School Social Worker at North Tonawanda High School and Alternative High Schools.

Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by New York State and also holds a Permanent Certification to practice School Social Work. Elizabeth has additionally completed the requirements and has obtained her "R" number.  She has been a long standing member of the National Association of Social Workers as well as the New York State School Social Workers Association.

"My personal philosophy as an educational team member is to help every student I work with meet their maximum potential regardless of where they are starting from emotionally, physically or academically.  I have found that students have the most success when everyone in the student's life works together as a team.  Therefore, I seek out and value input from all; the parent/guardian, my colleagues as well as the student.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have".
