Hi, this is the blog attached to my teacher page. I have dedicated it to my "run" for President in 2012. Not that long ago, a student asked why I wouldn't run for President even though I met all of the requirements. (age, citizenship, & origin of birth) I told him that it was "complicated." In all honesty, I didn't really know a lot of the details. So I decided to find out what an ordinary everyday person has to do in order to run for President of the United States.....and so it begins...

2. Update #3: Political Parties
Before I committ myself (to run for President), I have to figure out where I stand on political issues. Am I a liberal, conservative, or a combination of both? Here's a little tool I found to figure out generally where I stand. Try it out and see where you stand... http://www.theadvocates.org/quizp/index.html

3. Update #2
Hey gang! A little more information is coming way during my "run" for President. Here is a site that describes a county in Florida and some of the write-in candidates that were voted for there!!! I'm also coming across many websites of write-in candidates across America. I'll let you know more as I find it out. http://www.news4jax.com/politics/18006929/detail.html

4. Update #1
Upon beginning my investigation into running for President, an "anonymous" source pointed me towards this link. If you scroll down, you will see the title "Running for President" and the two choices I have if I wish to run. The write-in candidate is easier, but I'm going to look into both.
