Article 36-4. Designation of records access officer; responsibilities.

A. The Town Board of the Town of Lockport is responsible for ensuring compliance with the regulations herein and designates the Town Clerk as records access officer.

B. The records access officer is responsible for ensuring appropriate agency response to public requests for access to records in accordance with Public Officers Law Article 6, the Freedom of Information Law, and with these regulations. The designation of records access officer shall not be construed to prohibit officials who have in the past been authorized to make records or information available to the public from continuing to do so.
